Student Poetry Contest Winners

There were 632 entries for the 2016-2017 FSPA Student Poetry Contest. They came from all over the state of Florida, and we are grateful to all the teachers who encouraged students to enter. First-place winners in each grade level were the first to receive the Lee Bennett Hopkins Poetry Award for Young People. In addition to a cash award and certificate, each LBH winner is receiving a personal letter from Mr. Hopkins. We thank him for his generosity, and we also thank the judges for their time and effort. We congratulate all the winners (42 total) and encourage Florida’s young writers to keep writing!
