Contests

The 2015 Great River Shakespeare Festival, Maria W. Faust Sonnet Contest is now accepting Sonnet entries, and, as was the case in 2014. Last year we received a record number of very well-written sonnets, many of them, I feel, as a result of sending out information to you, as a conduit to your state-wide members.

We are offering a total of $2,000 in prizes, in several categories. There is no entry fee, and we now accept entries (no later than June 1), by postal mail to GRSF/Maria W. Faust Sonnet Contest; Ted Haaland, Dir.; PO Box 827; Winona, MN 55987-0827, OR by email via forms included on our webpage, www.sonnetcontest.org, whereon complete rules will be found.

Last year, this rapidly growing contest brought in entries from three dozen of the United States, as well as from around the globe.
